    hi i bought a used Dell Optiplex GX280 for a basic email machine on a 32" tv.. now i would like to get a better g/x card, just to watch avi's smoothly, could i put in "http://www3.pny.com/GeForce-210-512MB-PCIe-P2857C431.aspx

    really mind boggled here , thanks for help

    Avi's will be using the cpu not gpu. Unless you are playing pseudo hi-def (720p) avi's then they should be no problem for your machine. First try installing a good codec pack like ffdshow and ac3filter and they should run withut probs.
