    Im interested to see what everyones paying for turf this year per tractor load, the aul boy got a load for €180 today, you?

    I for one would not be familiar with what a tractor load of turf would look like or weigh.

    Not at all, but in an area with no bogs.

    If you want to compare prices, you need to compare weights and quality of turf.

    Local lad beside me does a 10 * 6 trailer for €180, it contains 1 1/3 hoppers delivered.
    He also does a bigger trailer with just under 5 hoppers for €500 delivered.
    His hoppers are the 10 sods wide.

    I get my turf cut in a local bog and I pay €70 per hopper and its 10 sods wide and I know the guy in the next bog owns his own bog and he gets charged €45 per hopper to get it cut.
