Sony Vaio - hdmi to tv problem

    Hi,

Just looking for some info as to a problem I'm currently having.

I have a sony vaio laptpo and sony bravia tv. Until recently I have been watching media from the laptop on the tv via a HDMI connection.

2 days ago the connection stopped working, I'm thinking it was after the last windows update.

So far I've managed to get the desktop wallpaper back onto the tv when the laptop is connected, there are no icons visible and the tv seems to be acting as an extended monitor as opposed to a clone of the laptop.

So my question is, how do I make the tv a clone of the laptop or failing that is there an option to make the tv the primary monitor when a hdmi is inserted?

    Thanks for reading.

maybe check the graphics properties on the laptop and check to see if its in extended desktop or if the laptop/tv screen has priority

sometimes the HDMI connection doesnt work for me but its due to the tv and laptop having a "handshake" connection or something, i forget the technical details but its som sort of thing the HDMI connection does :|

kinda lame answer but fiddle about with it and settings!
