    Hi guys and girls

a quick opinion needed from you all.
Im looking for a change of car as have my celica for 2 years now and just want somthing different.i have someone interested in a swap deal for their 02 audi tt 1.8 180bhp 100k miles nct sept 2010 black lovely car and i always wanted a tt.
Would i be doing the right thing??my celica is in perfect condition 2004 red full premium sport spec 1.8 vvti 140bhp 97k miles nct 01/2012 and i have 18" rs4 alloys on it...some people say its a good deal some people say im mad them tts give trouble etc.. And id be going down 2 years.
Is there anything i should be looking out for?
Maybe get them to replace the timing belt for me as it will have to be done in 20k whereas the celica doesnt have a belt so its fine.
Any one got any help for me or opinions??
They would really help make my decision as to wheather go ahead and see this tt or leave it...

Would I be right assuming they're worth more or less the same?

Just yours has a long NCT, as you say the belt is done and you've less mileage and minus a turbo (which can give trouble)...

IIRC they're known for going through coils as well...

I love TT's, probably more than the Celica, but would i swap? No

Edit: The only way Iwould swap would be if there car had the belts done as well, and it was put through the NCT. I hate cars for sale with very short NCT's.

I ran a 00 TT 180 quattro for a couple of years. It was faultless apart from needing 2 new rear shocks at about 100k. Never had any coilpack problems & the engines are bulletproof if you use proper oil and change every 7 or 8k miles. The build quality was superb. I feared my one would fall apart as I drive on poor roads but after doing about 40k miles over 2 years, with a total of about 110k miles on the clock, it still felt perfect without an interior or suspension rattle apart from the rear parcel shelf which rattles from practically new but is easily cured.
