Type the name of the pattern into youtube and you'll get a video of it.

    Chon Ji:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRbmNys1tKI

This guy isn't great, but you can make out all the moves and this would halp you memorise it. Then it's all practice.

    Hope this helps.

I got the legacy DVDs as a gift and rarely use the DVD, but do use the encyclopedia so much that I have it on my phone to look at.

what's wrong with "this guy" ???

    anyway...

if you are looking for a good quality performed ITF pattern video look up Jaroslaw Suska.

this is a link to him performing Do San Tul.

I never said there was anything wrong with him, I just said he wasn't great.

He's too tense, his low blocks are too far out to the side and his punches aren't on the centre line. This is all my opinion of course; the guy in the clip you posted is MUCH better, a nice presentation of Do-San.

This guy is Master Phap Lu, a looong time TKD practitioner. Having said that there are many fundamental mistakes in his performance of Chon Ji in that video, bearing in mind he's an ITF master performing the pattern in the ITF way. I prefer Suska or Naomi Preone from Argentina.

    Hello from Korea BTW :)

no big need to go buying anything if you just want to reference your patterns.

but if you want to have the dvd's as part of your personal collection then belt away ;)

youtube on your phone is prob as handy as anything else.

if your at home then using youtube on your pc etc is fine too.

There are plenty of good pattern videos available on YouTube - view a selection, then use your common sense to select the good ones. After you've viewed a few, it's easy to spot the not-so-good ones.

I remember when I was going for my black tag, I found a great ITF website from eastern europe with excellent videos. The guy doing the patterns had a lovely rhythm and style.

Download the legacy patterns or Suska from youtube and then upload them to your ipod. Pretty simple.

    Hello from Cabra :(
