I am currently doing up an old house for myself and all the rooms are done in old wallpaper that i really dont like and i want to remove it all and just paint the walls..
Is this possible or do i need to paper it in the new??

    Any advice appreciated..

Its up to you, if you strip the paper and the walls are really rough/cracked or just uneven, you can buy lining paper very cheap. You hang it sideways and leave a narrow gap between sheets, which you fill with filler and sand, gives a nice smooth finish when painted.
You might get lucky and find great smooth walls under that paper.
