Financial Assistance for Further Education course supplies?

    Hi,

    My sister has been accepted to a 1 year further education course.

    She is currently unemployed and is eligible for BTEA.

    Due to this she is not eligible for the Maintenance Grant.

    The course has no dedicated links to higher education so she is not eligible for the Millennium Partnership Fund or Student Assistance Fund.


    The course is Fashion Theatre and Media Make-Up and so there are alot of supplies needed which must be purchased before the start of the course. I think the total cost is somewhere between €1k & 2k

    Her savings will cover some of this but not all.

    Does anyone know if there are any other forms of financial assistance she could apply for?

    I've been on studentfinance.ie but haven't found anything.
