I think it might be a good idea to have a list of recommended business services. Even for myself I would be grateful to have a recommendation for the following as the odd client would ask to recommend someone:

    Web site design
    Business Consultant/Advisor
    Graphic designer
    Printer
    Leaflet distribution
    Marketing / Advertising
    Finance
    IT (Setup/Repair/Training)

If people want to post the service and the person/company contact details they would recommend I don’t mind organising it all together. I think it would be a useful sticky.

If you are looking for a good accountant pm me and I can pass on his details. He offers a free consultation but doesn’t take on everyone he consults with.

Graphic Design - Kate's Art House, found her through adverts. Communication throughout the design process was great. Reasonably priced too.

Web Hosting - Digiweb, have been using them for quite some time now. Very happy with the service.

Accountant - Hickey & Co. Great advice on start up.

In terms of marketing, I've found facebook to be ok but adwords is king for my industry.

Unfortunately I can only give you the name of the one not to use, having been a victim of their complete disinterest in their customer's requirements.

Let's just say that they don't deliver to as many houses as they claim.

Would anyone know of a good courier company who can pick up at our warehouse (near Airport) and delivery nationally , overnight ?

Package sizes are less than 8kg.

I had seen ad's for that company deliverance (someone from this forum ran it I believe) but on trying to contact him yesterday the number appears no longer valid ???

Hey I'd recommend Fastway for the courier company, they can offer next day nationwide delivery from as low as E6.50. There would be a local franchise owner in your area, check out www.fastway.ie

with respect ,I doubt I will call you, what is to stop you changing the contact number again without notification on the website ? , to all intents and purposes I thought you had gone out of business last week when I phoned a few times throughout the day.

Fair enough.... Though phones were diverting to the new number and I just cancelled that service/cost last week as all my customers now have my new details.

If you're doing volume, you'll get it for under €5. DPD will drop to under €6 depending on volume. (usually 100+ parcels a week)
