    this never happened me before,
i went to my local quarry for some stone, the first guy told me they would put it in my van no problem,
    i said ok ,
sounds good, the guy driving the machine said he was not sure if it would fit,i said we can try it he said ok lets do it,it was to wide
,he continued to push the machine with the stone in to my van ,trying ,it seemed to squash it in,it did not work, when he pulled the machine back ,
he ripped the slidding door off my van , completly. so he drove off in his machine in a huff!i tryed hard to get the door back on so i could just leave and get out of there as itt had began to rain heavily and i was getting saoked, but my door was absalotly wrecked and dingling from the side of my van, the guy drove by in the machine , shaking his head,he shouted i told you it would not fit,
so i decided to try to get help as he was not going to,
so i went to the bosses office,he came out and me the boss and the driver also helped to try to fix the door back on to the van,
but it was no good ,
the door was completly bollixed, its bent into a hoop,
the boss man said, get a quaote to fix it,
dont fix it just get a quaote,
    so i did,its a little over 2500,
now im fairly sure my van that just cost me 1000 euro to put through the nct
,is only worth about 1500 euro in total,
i called the boss man to get his fax number to fax the quaote in,
over the phone he was trying to argue
,my man told you several times not to put it in the van,
the bossman said ,i have to talk to my boss about this,it better not cost to much as it is an old van anyway ,and its not worth to much.

i cant drive my van on the raod now,
i dont want to rent one out as i dont have the money,
and any way not really stuck yet,
but next week i probably will neeed a van,
if anyone has read all this, thanks very much,if you have any advise of help in any way ,
i would much appricate it,thanks again.:)

You'll get more help if you added some punctuation and line breaks. That is almost unreadable.

    What now?
Get to a scrapyard and pick up a door for a couple of hundred euro. Go back to the quarry with the receipt, and maybe they'll give you half the cost to go away.

€2,500 is a stupid quote, they'd be mad to even consider paying that.

:)the nearest second hand door and rollers is 80 mile away from me ,its a different colour and he wants 450 euro for it,now i cant go there ,i dont have 450 euro ,and would probably have to pay to get it sprayed, the door is half the cost of a new one.

I'd imagine the quarry have insurance?

By the sounds of it, you didnt have too much respect for your old van when you tried to force a too wide load into it. IMO, you have to take the blame in this case yourself. You admitted he told you it was too wide for the van but you told him go ahead. He was stupid to actually heed you but still if you instructed him to do it?
Seeing as it worth little, you could maybe be nice & see if you can get about €200 off them. looking for €2500 to repair a €1500 van means you will be laughed at.

Chances are there was a disclaimer of some sort posted on the entrance to the quarry.

By entering you accepted it. This may well make the liability your own, but I'd consult a solicitor if I was you.

the only reason i asked him to try it,
was because the first employee told me it would not be a problem,

Did you at any point tell him to stop? Your trying to blame other people for your own stupidity. See if they would give you the 450 for the scrap door and get it on the van.

if you don't have the money this is better than nothing
