    Right heres the deal.

I passed all my exams at christmas. Failed all the summer exams.

The letter for the repeat exams came, however...I wont be able to attend the repeats. (Have to be in America while they are on.)

I'm just wondering, whats the procedure? and costs? do i still register for the repeats..?

please. Any help would be hugely appreciated.. I'm really lost.:(

even if someone has contact details of the relevant members of staff?

Contact the exams office and your course co-ordinator immediately.
Contact details for the exams offices are here: http://modularisation.dit.ie/studentinfo.htm
Are you sure you can't get back from America? You can't go on to the next year without passing the exams so you may have to take a year out and resit the exams next May..

Fair enough, I thought you were looking to reschedule your repeats or something! I'm not sure what the process is but the exams office should know.

Edited to say - you'll have to pay full fees for the repeat year. Fees range from 1500 to 4000 depending on the programme. Thats as well as the 1500 capitation.

That's just to repeat the exams you can't attend the lectures... you would have to ask your course coordinator what the recommend you do...

As someone else said thats only if you're just repeating the exam.
As you failed multiple exams you will more than likely have to repeat the year so that you can attend lectures, which means full fees.

Two of my mates had to repeat multiple exams last year. They failed these exams. So they had to repeat the year. They had to pay 300 to repeat some modules, 900 to repeat others. But they didnt have to pay the 1500 registration though. One of them had to pay 900 in total, to repeat three subjects, not the exams, whole subjects the following year. Im not sure what the other guy had to pay, but...

they didnt have to repeat the full year, just the subjects they failed. One guy had 3 to repeat, another had 6 or something..

    Then they were charged wrong.
Thats the charge if you progress to the next year, carrying subjects, not if you are repeating the year.
