About a month ago I was involved in an accident and needed an ambulance transfer to hospital. The two ambulance guys were very professional and minimised my pain when moving me onto a board etc. They called to see me in A+E later when they were arrived on another call. I was transferred to another hopsital and they called to me there as well when they were transferring another patient.

As a small thank you, I dropped 2 bottles of wine for them and some cakes for the rest of the station. They werent on duty but I got talking to the dispatcher who said they had never received a thank you card before - which amazed me. I knew where they were stationed because it came up in conversation while they were keeping me awake in case there was any head trauma. Maybe most patients dont know where ambulance bases are and include them in the thank you cards sent to the hospital ward.

Thanks to the ambulance crew and all hospital staff, I can walk again.
