Or as it was known in some clubs, 'the erect!on section.' Was it just a ninetys and early noughtys thing, have not heard/seen it being done in ages.

Was always a laugh seeing aload of desperate 17/18 year old fellas walking around the dance floor asking any girl that looked in their direction if they wanted to dance (might have done it my self maybe once or twice :D ), before staring missarbly back into their drinks if rejected. but if you did happen to get that dance your were the man amoungst your single friends, or if you were with your girl friend it felt just like you and her on the floor for those 2 or 3 songs.

Gawd i remember many a snog to aerosmiths i dont want to miss a thing and robbie williams angels, and 1 or 2 that were tried to be forgotton about as soon as possible.

♫ Look into my eyes - you will see
    What you mean to me
Search your heart - search your soul
And when you find me there you'll search no more

Don't tell me it's not worth tryin' for
You can't tell me it's not worth dyin' for
    You know it's true
Everything I do - I do it for you

Look into your heart - you will find
    There's nothin' there to hide
Take me as I am - take my life
I would give it all - I would sacrifice

Don't tell me it's not worth fightin' for
    I can't help it - there's nothin' I want more
    Ya know it's true
Everything I do - I do it for you

There's no love - like your love
And no other - could give more love
    There's nowhere - unless you're there
All the time - all the way

Oh - you can't tell me it's not worth tryin' for
    I can't help it - there's nothin' I want more
I would fight for you - I'd lie for you
Walk the wire for you - ya I'd die for you

    Ya know it's true
Everything I do - I do it for you ♫

My plan of action was: hot girl --> hot girls friend --> fat girl --> fat girls uglier, possibly retarded, fatter friend --> last orders & chipper.

Double Vodka & Red Bull and curry chips, how I miss thine tender embrace!!!

    hi all,

i remember playing a slow set a while back at a un-named venue and it did bring in a mixed response. some people loved the blast from the past erection section while others went wtf.....play tiesto or single ladies.....

to young people out there, before the internet, facebook, bebo and all that crap of tagging people to be friends and all that ****e, if you wanna meet someone it was a pub or a club and venues in the 90's played slow sets.

    it worked.

mid/late ninties was when i first went, now that you mention it there was usally one or two sets, dance music (as far as i know) was only getting popular and even then it was all chart/radio friendly stuff with some old skool chucked in

Ah good old slow sets. back in the days when you got a complimentary supper ticket with your admission. Chicken and chips in the nightclub then off to circle the dance floor for the 10mins leading up to the slow set.

lol, think somewhere in letterkenny (donegal) used to do that, always prefered to get a curry chip in the 4lights myself, although i did find that spilt curry down your jacket was a bit of turn off

    :D
