    Im sitting the FAE this September and I have heard about this certificate of participation where you have to pass your mocks and attend all lectures before being allowed sit the final exams. Is this true? - I never got a letter or anything from the institute confirming this. Theres not a chance I will pass my mocks and I missed a few classes during the year also so Im freakin out now

    Ya, its true. They mentioned it a few times at start of year, but if you are not granted one, a letter from your firm will get you it. Its basically to make your firm aware of how you performed during the year I think.

    wouldn't worry about it - they say the same thing ever year. no one is gonna pass the mocks!!

    Wouldn't worry too much about this I heard that rumour from the dublin group, but like you got no official word or letter. As maddog said if needed you can get a letter from your firm granting permission to sit these exams. If this is the case I suspect there will b a lot of letters as very few will pass the mocks I have never passed the mocks in CAP 1 or 2 and never req'd this letter.
