    hey everyone,
I'm thinking of going to the Gaelteacht next year with my friend :) The only problem is my parents won't let me go!! They say, why do you have to go for 3 wks, would a week not be no enough. Does this mean they won't let me go because they'll miss me and would be homesick for me? I've never been away from home before, well only for a couple of nites

    1. Has anyone ever gone to Colaiste Cholumba Cursa B? Is it very strict?
    2. What does the Bean Cheile do?
    3. what time do you have to be in bed at?
    4. Are you allowed mobile phones?
    5. Will you be sharing with other girls?
    6. Are there themed nights?
    7. What activites do you go on?
    8. Is it easy to make new friends?
    9. Can you wash all your laundry?
    10. Can your family visit you?

Even if you didn't go to Colaiste Columba, please answer! :)
    xxx

A week is as good as not going. I didn't really get into it till middle of second week.

    2. Bean cheile/bean an ti are the woman who owns the house. She makes dinner and stuff. My BAT wasn't very nice, but my friends one threw them a party with BBQ and cake when they left

    3. Generally about 11

    4. Not at mine, but everyone had them anyway

    5. generally you're with the same sex.

    6. Yes. They are fantastic-pajamas, everyone dress up as the opposite gender, county colours

    7. Depends on the gaeltacht, we went kayaking, hiking, beach, basketball, volleyball, cycling etc.

    8. As long as you participate and put yourself out there, don't rely on the friend your bringing. At the above poster-you sound like an idiot saying as long as you're not a fag, really immature.

    9. Yes

    10. Once on the course. You don't want to see them too much anyway, it'll only make you more homesick.
