Why do peope care that it is a marketing ploy?

It was a great day out last year, at a time of the year when we normally don't have much on, and people are gloomy.

I will be there with bells on, and if you want to piss on the parade you can stay at home drinking Bulmers Pear - you'll soon have other things to worry about.

Couldent believe it last year i happened to be in two pubs one in wicklow one in Dublin (dont ask). Everyone was very merry and every minutes they would raise their glasses and roar" heres to Arthur". Since then ive never doubted the power of spin.

I guess I just don't feel like I need diageo to make excuses to go to the pub, and I especially don't want or need them to encourage every pisshead in the town to go out on the same night and generally make the biggest mess since paddy's day/rag week.
