Hey, i have just received my law degree from UCC and I am at a bit of a crossroads. I am not sure I want to go down the route of becoming a solicitor and was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what other opportunities are available to someone who has a law degree? i'm starting to think that it is of little or no use to me whatsoever as it will not really help me to find a job if i go abroad which is something i would also like to do. thanks for any advice in advance.

Would you work in funds industry, IFSC in Dublin or there are places in Cork too.
You could work in compliance, it can be interesting realy.

Watching world events, searching documents for specific terms like Iran maybe and you'll be giving presentations to the rest of the company all the time.
There is a blacklist of countries too (you basically follow what the Americans do )and also some companies have policies on things like arms dealing and sports betting which they won't deal with so you monitor that too.
