Hey all I was wondering could anyone help me, when I try and copy Final Fantasy 7 from my PS3 to PSP Go it throws up the error 'The connected PSP system is activated with a different account. If you perform this operation, the cunrrent activation will become invalid. Do you want to continue?

So my account will be deactivated? I'm just worried that FF7 wont work on my PS3 after, has anyone had anything similar happen to them? Thanks.

FFVII will still work on your PS3. The activation only applies to your PSP. I have to activate my PSP on different accounts all the time - the PSP (annoyingly) can only have one account active on it at any time, whilst the PS3 can have loads of accounts active and you just switch between them by switching user. With the PSP, it has to do this switching manually via 'activation'.

So for example in my case, most of my PSP games are from my EU account and my PSPgo is activated with this account. However, I own FFVII and Suikoden on my US account. If I want to play them on my PSPgo I have to activate the PSP with the US account, but then I won't be able to play my EU account games again until I switch the activation back to the EU account.

You can activate your PSP with any PSN account in a variety of ways - you can log in to your PSN account via Wifi on the PSP and select 'Activate system' in 'Account Management', by transferring something from a PS3 or PC, or when the PSP is connected to the PS3 you can activate it with any account by logging in to that account and then by going into 'Account Management' on the PS3.

Thanks for that, I was just bricking it that it would render FF7 on my PS3 useless once copied or something. Quite confusing wording! Anyways got it working and its awesome :D

Can you use the same savegames on PS3 and PSP? I.e. play the game on PS3, copy the save over to PSP and continue from there?

Yeah with PSone games and PSPminis you can transfer the save file back and forth between the PSP and the PS3.

Sometimes it asks you to convert the game save, so perhaps it would be best to back up the saves first if it asks you to do that. I transfer saves between the two systems all the time and I've never had anything get corrupted on me, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. :pac:
