Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but eirtext is now out for the iPad. I only give it its own thread because its one of the few Irish-targeted apps that I think most iPhone and iPod touch users use.

Have only great things to say about it. First, it's very good looking. I think that even if it had just been a scaled up version of the iPhone app I'd have loved it anyway but it seems the creator went all out. The passport photos on the co facts folders are a lovely touch. In fact, the design as a whole is very balanced and nice. The contacts list is lovely, the only problem for me was that, having been using the old version on the iPad before upgrading that contacts I haf entered manually are now being doubled up against contexts from my contacts list. But that's easily fixable and you're probably better off using the ipads built in contacts list. It's very well executed though. 9 thumbs up from me.

I hate the fact it seems now you have to buy the pro version to send texts to the UK, That was the only thing I used it for, and only once in a blue moon too :(

At €3.99, it's hardly expensive though!

International texts can be pretty pricey so it'll pay for itself in a very short time.

The free Jellysms was fine for my iPhone but for an iPad Eirtext App out so soon I'll certainly fork out the asking price. The early bird...etc, etc.

Just downloaded it. What a classy piece of work, a joy to use. Hats off to Eirtext and thanks banquo!

Universal app. Nice. Good job, Vinny. I hate devs that don't release universals. I don't mind paying a bit extra but not full whack again.

Intenational texts have always been Pro only.
