Right, Firstly I know this will invariably end up with me and most of my friends electrocuted however, is it possible to build a decent foam machine?

I found a good how to (http://www.stevenmartin.com.au/steven_martin/Posts/Entries/2010/2/16_Foam_Machine_Plans_files/foam_machine_MKI.pdf) however it's missing one important part that I can find. It doesn't say how powerful the blower is. obviously i can't use one off something basic like a hair dryer but what about something like a leaf blower? or a bouncy castle blower? Any thoughts?

Bottom of the parts list on page 4 theres a link
    Blower Specifications
    • Model No: SD-S30 (300mm)
    • Power: 550W
    • Voltage: 220 - 240V
    • Speed: 2900/3300r/min
    • Frequency: 50/60Hz
    • Static pressure: 350/500Pa
    • Phase: 1
    • Flow Rate: 62/72m3/min
The leaf blower idea sounds good.
