There may be a delay of 25-35 minutes on all Sligo and Maynooth Trains from Monday until Thursday next week, just a warning for anyone who will be travelling to the University next week for consultations or otherwise.

Looks like it maybe to do with the new Dunboyne line as there are cancellations on Sunday and that is the excuse Irish Rail are using to explain them.

Yeah, they might be installing the points on the line on Sunday, I'd say this would be due to the new signalling or other such train stuffs.

I might need to catch an earlier train into work so....

No delays between Sligo and Maynooth this morning, was even here earlier than usual. Shweeeeeeet :D Thought I would let the good people of the wesht and midlands know that they need not fear when travelling up this week.

Got an Earlier train then I usually do and it was the actually the one which was due to arrive 15 minutes earlier that had been delayed.

Delays are pretty common on the Commute Maynooth to Dublin. (What with Random stuff happening, like Horses on the Line at Broombridge, or the occasional suicide attempt, Or the train being attacked at Broombridge, or just Broombridge in general )

Its the trains going to Sligo from Dublin which are more likely to suffer a delay (Irish Rail has these services pretty low on there priorities).

So far I've no major delays to report, but I still need to head back to Maynooth...

Friend of mind just texted me to say she was delayed between Drumcondra and Broombridge today due to this work.

    Sure.

    Sunday:
    trees on the line

    Monday:
05:45 Sligo-Dublin ran about 14 minutes late at Drumcondra
7:58 Maynooth Bray was 10 minutes late
    Points failure at Clonsilla.

    Next Sunday:
one train cancelled, bus transfers for another.

It would seem I spoke a bit too soon so :) but to be fair, bus transfers are quite a common occurance on the Sligo to Dublin line, delays also. It's quite annoying.
Of course, today being the day I fully expected there to be long delays, the train was on time for a change :pac:

Another twist, now it seems to be because of work on the line between Mullingar and Edgeworthstown. I hope there are no delays for anyone.

Getting a train into town yesterday, and it was a half hour late because of this. No indication on the supposedly live info on the website before I headed down either, or I could have left later!:mad:
