Constant email updates

I'm aware that technically speaking you're not meant to get email updates until you revisit a thread after getting the first update. I constantly get them from threads that i haven't been on in ages, some times its weeks some times its hours. the random photo thread and the iPhone 4 thread are two pretty big examples, always getting emails even though i only posted once. I wouldn't receive emails about all posts, it seems a bit random tbh.

any help on this?

Have you, perhaps, subscribed to those threads, and set up email notification (I think its the default option when you subscribe to a thread)

You can check (and remove) your subscriptions here
