If you live in Cork or surrounding counties, Tanners in Conna outside Fermoy are tractor breakers.

Sweetnams are much easier to deal with IMO and have more stuff: (021)4667288

They had had most stuff I have ever needed and the prices are grand.

or if you're in the midlands try Neville Stanly, rathdowney 057 8738535

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

I went there once looking at a tractor the young fella showed me the tractor and I asked him would he take a trade in. He had to ask his father if they would take a trade in all the ould fella did was grunt every time he asked him. I left fairly quickly after that.

Tanners have their set prices alright and are fairly tough to deal with.

Roland (the father) is as honest as the day is long despite his demeanour. I have never bought a tractor from them, but they got me a gearbox that I thought would need to be sourced from the UK. Great for various spurious things, and oddities.

    You mean he can talk:eek:

A cranky ould fella is often more honest and better to deal with than a sweet talking one who will probably try to do you.

Hows ever that must have have been one of Roland's off days.
