How do I separate emails in Gmail

    When I receive emails from the same person , they all appear in the one line in my gmail email address .

    The number of emails appear in brackets like this ( 2 ) and so on .

    In Yahoo mail , each email is given a separate line .

    Its so easy to lose an email in Gmail, can anybody help me with settings to change this option ?

    This is called 'threading' but there is no option yet to undo it in Gmail

    Click on "Settings" and go to the "Labs" section and have a scroll through. They have a lot of really handy stuff (I especially like the multiple inboxes and the cancel send, I use quite a few of them though), they might have something like that in there, I haven't looked/used it myself though if they do.
