Best bus from town would be one of the 4's or 7's. From UCD maybe the 83/84? Both should drop you off in Ballsbridge about 5 to 10 minutes walk.

About 30 minute's walk from both locations, and from town the Dart from Tara Street is probably the handiest option.

2 or 3 from Belfield. 45 goes nowhere near UCD.
or 46a, 145, 10 etc to Donnybrook and 15-20 mins walk

    4, 4a, 7 45, 2, 3, 5, 8, 84, 63 from the CC to Ballsbridge or DART is best from CC

    From UCD: 63 or 84
    From City: Any of 4, 4a, 5, 7, 7a, 8, 45 (From Merrion Square only), 63, or 84 to D4 Hotel or routes 2 or 3 to Ringsend.
