Hey Folks,

Both IM Austria and Challenge Roth keep bubbling up in my hunt for an IM distance event that have a decent atmosphere, reasonable weather and aren't going to add on jetlag to nerves to make it all worse. If anyone's done both (or even been at both as support) how do you recon they rank against eachother; which would make for a better first time outing?

The obvious difference is the m-dot; but if Roth had more of a buzz I'd be tempted to give up the branded medal. From what I've found both are well organized and have decent reputations as events. I'm still looking into the logistics of Roth (Tunnys post about Austria was quite helpful on that front!).

On a side topic: wow, the entry fees for these races are steep! I hope you get one hell of a goodie bag
