My hairdresser warned me against the purple/pink/coloured GHDs when I told her I needed to buy a new one. She said they got some in to use in the salon and they found that they didn't last as long as the basic black version - I just assumed they were all the same so I was very happy with the warning! They don't sell GHDs in the salon anymore so it wasn't as if she was trying to sell one particular GHD over the other.

so you cant get them in the salons anymore is it?? hmmmm, damn........
the only reason i wanna get one is because one she wont remember saying it to me, it was aaagggeeess ago she said it, and two its not too forward in the way jewelery is, well im my opinon!

im gonna be stumped if i have to get something else, im fairly useless at these things, well except the sentimental silly things, have plenty of that sort of stuff :):)

Peter Marks have them in all their salons!

I think it's a great pressie. I broke my GHD a few years ago and my boyfriend bought me a new one as a suprise and I love it! I was sooo delighted! I'm not a jewelery person so I loved it.

No - you can still get them in salons, just not in the one I go to! Peter Marks usually have them, that's where I got mine.

Feelunique.com are one of the cheapest around at 95 GBP. Delivery normally takes 4 -6 working days so it would arrive in time and no charge for delivery. I got my latest GHD from them.

I have my pink one 2 years and theres not a bother on it so not sure that the coloured ones not lasting as long is true.

I got my GHD as a present but i can also vouch that Kodo hair straighteners are equally as good as GHDs. (more money to buy extra pressies then :D)

Stumbled on this thread looking for something else (seriously).

I reckon if you buy in Peter Marks you will be paying a lot more than if you shop around, esp online. Bought mine online (for the wife) ages ago with no problem.

To get the latest cheapest option suggest you put a request in here for what you're looking for
