    Huge match in prospect.

With Federer out, Nadal slots in as favourite. However Murray will see this as a huge opportunity and sees the Spaniard as his biggest hurdle on his way to his first Grand Slam.

It's a difficult one to predict but i am going to go with a Nadal win over 5 sets and would not be surprised if there are a few tie breaks on the way!

Their head-to-head is in favour of Rafa as he leads 7-3. In terms of a Wimbledon head-to-head they have played only once before when Nadal came through in 3 sets.

Let's hope this game lives up to it's hype.

Come on Murray. I always said that just because I'm a Federer fan it doesn't mean I have to hate Nadal. But woth Federer out, for some reason i really don't want Nadal to win. Maybe it's just because if he wins eceryone will be like "Federer's gone, Nadal is the new King". Don't think I could bare that. Long live Federer!

Haha, as a Nadal fan I'm going to have to say "Get used to it" mate!!!

    Vamos Rafa!

Shame though that Roger is out, I was hoping for a 2008 final repeat!

I'm a huge Nadal fan so I'm be cheering for him anyway, but double so because if Murray does beat him the hype surrounding Murray will grow exponentially, and I really dont want to have to listen to it. I hope Nadal hammers him but I dont see that happening, it probably will be a 4 or 5 setter.

I'd love for Andy Murray to win, I do think he has a good chance.

Really hope Nadal beats Murray convincingly today. The British commentators and press are insufferable at this stage.

British press getting behind their player shocker!

If they are annoying you, then how about tuning out of British TV stations and buying Irish newspapers instead.

    C'mon the dangly Scotsman!!

    Em..... Apologies?!

I thought the semi final of one of the more popular majors may deserve a thread of it's own

    3-0 Nadal.

Not the contest I thought we may have but I am delighted for Rafa! Superb player! Tough on Murray but Nadal does seem to be the step above.

That BBC interviewer is an absolute embarrassment. I've been annoyed by him before but his name escapes me. The questions for Rafa after the game were a joke.

Interviewer: "Rafa, do you feel sorry for Andy?"

    Rafa: "Do I...? Wha?"

Interviewer: "Do you feel sorry for him that he lost on his big day? Obviously you couldn't let him win but..."

Rafa: "Yes I feel bad for him..."

Interviewer: "Do you think he will win a Grand Slam one day?"

    Absolutely pathetic stuff. Cringeworthy nonsense.

Watched this too and it was headwrecking, I know the interviewer has to ask questions about both players, but that was a piss take, oh well hope Nadal wins it out now, my favourite player and I have a bit of money on him too!

Nadal with argubaly his best match of the Championship so far.
Think he will beat Berdych in either 3 or 4 sets!

Cheat? How exactly did he cheat? He was the better player as he was in the other semis he won! You might want to look up the rules of the game.

Your anti-Spanish agenda is really pathetic.

Was listening to Radio Wimbledon after it and one interviewer was on about when Murray would win a Grand Slam went something like "Djokovic has one, del Potro has one when will Our Boy's turn come?"
Couldn't help but roll my eyes at it. Totally different circumstances for each champion. Murray was looking great all through Wimbledon then fell against Nadal. If you can't beat the best then it's almost impossible to win a GS. Both Djokovic and del Potro beat Federer (del Potro also beat Nadal in US semi) then went onto win the title.
In Greg Rusedski's column in The Mirror he mentioned that Murray should hire Agassi and Darren Cahill (Federer tried to sign Cahill who also worked with Hewitt). Perhaps it could work. Only time will tell how Murray deals with this lastest defeat
