I can't find a source to this online but I just got an email through work to let me know that the Irish and Korean (doesn't specify but can only presume South Korean) governments have reached an agreement and now 400 Irish people will be able to get WHV's for Korea each year.

This is great news as lots of Irish people want to go there to teach English, but often have terrible trouble with schools as they are essentially tied to their school. If they quit, they loose their visa and must exit almost immediately. It gives teachers more freedom and bargaining power. They don't have to put up with crap from school owners and can quit look for other work as they please.
And also, you can now earn money on the side throw grinds which you couldn't do before.

Just thought some people might be interested. So now that's Singapore, Korea, NZ, Aus and Canada we can get Working Holiday Visas for. Along with being able to work anywhere in the EU, we're not doing too bad.

Cheers dory, If you get anymore information or even know of people planning to head over teaching there this year drop me a line! I'm currently making plans myself to go over solo but no harm in having a gang knocking about:D
