    Hi there

I am planning on taking a day trip to Paris on the Eurostar when I'm in London for the weekend in august. Hoping to go very early on a saturday morning and return maybe last train at night.

The fares seem to be ridiculously high...I am prepared to pay anything up to £80 but after that I think I'll scrap the plans :(

Has anyone any experience on booking eurostar tickets and if so any good websites where they can be found for cheaper....been looking on eurostar.com...not cheap at all!

    Thank you

I don't think you're going to get them any cheaper than that. Usually you can get promotions (£80 return-trip) but later in the year around Oct/Nov.

The cheapest tickets tend to be midweek, leaving at 5am (£35 one-way) or 6am (£65 one-way).

If you want to leave after 9am then you're looking at £135 one-way.

    www.crestaholidays.co.uk

have used this company several times, is you stay in paris(not sure if this would suit you?) they do great deals on eurostar and hotel. my best deal was £125 for 3 nights bb and leisure select(free champagne....like first class) all in!

i love eurostar its so much more relaxed than airports, also checkout website www.seat61.com

    hope this helps.
