Flying from South America to New Zealand

I'm trying to get to New Zealand from South America sometime between November and February. I realise this a very wide range of dates but my plan kind of depends on this. Ideally it would be best to fly from Chile but again it really depends on the price of the flight.
I was looking into a RTW ticket but Ive already got the ticket to South America for Dublin. I tried the usual sites for a one way flight and I was looking at 2,000 to 2,500! What a rip off I'd be better off just gettin the RTW ticket even with my flight to SA already paid for.

Any idea of how little I could get a flight from SA to NZ for and where I might find? It would be greatly appreciated!

€2,000 is the average for that route. It's the most expensive in the world. You'd be better off flying from Los Angeles if you can get there. But RTW ticket is generally the only way to do that part of the trip.

Just checked - it €850 from LA to Auckland. So if you can change your trip and go from there. But I know, it's hardly over the road...

Ye they are really expensive, if you fly from Buenos Aires with Aerolineas Argentina its €1600. a little bit cheaper to €2000

But this airline is rubbish, dont expect any comforts of any sorts though!!!
