    The house-cleaning in Chicago continues as the Blackhawks have traded forward Andrew Ladd to the Atlanta Thrashers for Ivan Vishnevskiy and a second-round draft pick, pending a trade call.

    Another salary dump by the Blackhawks as they load up on prospects and picks.

    Forward Andrew Ladd, a member of the Stanley-Cup winning Chicago Blackhawks who was traded to Atlanta on July 1, has settled on a 1-year, $2.35 million contract with the Thrashers, thus avoiding arbitration.

    I would have been very interested to see what the arbitrator would have given Ladd if he hadn't signed this deal.
