South America...?

I know few "Irishes" can be found there (or am I wrong?) but I'm just wonderin if anyone's been to South America (go háirithe Argentina) and would have a few hints about nice places to visit in the very south, things to do, srl. I'm goin to Ushuaia & El Calafate in July - wintertime there. So...any reports? :) thanks.
