I have the i run. Have you seen it in real life so to speak or just seen pictures? It's not as small and compact as I thought it was going to be though it is smaller than other models. I don't know about quiet as I have nothing to compare it to. Any treadmill is going to be damned noisy upstairs IMO unless you have a concrete floor.

There have been several previous threads discussing treadmills e.g. here. If you do a search you'll find them and they should answer some of your questions.

I have an Irun/IWalk reebok - I bought it second hand a few months ago.
    Absolutely love it!!
It isn't as compact as the commercial pictures let on, but it is able to almost fold onto itself without having bars or monitors jutting out, this means when stored it fits neatly behind a door in the apt.
I'm in a first floor apt, and I've had no complaints from the neighbours downstairs about noise. I did tell them that I had bought a treadmill and to let me know if they could hear it and it started to annoy them etc.

iv only seen pics. it seems to have gotten good reviews on littlewoods. thanks guys for ye're answers! from what i remember its 699. theres a newer model the i-run se which is a hundred or two dearer. i look at a treadmill as an investment though. my OH looks at it as a dust builder like my exercise bike! but a bikes totally different than walking or jogging!
