    you didn't when I worked there. You used to get a contribution based on how many hours you had worked that shift towards your food. usually covered your meal. But it could be up to individual franchise owners.

    Yeah I worked for McDonalds in Cruises street in Limerick, it wasn't a franchise.

    Sorry OP, how much do they dock you?

    Do you pay full price for the food or is it subsidised?

    Do they provide you with the meal? Of course they can charge you the cost of the meal.

    If the other posters misread your question..

    If your break is 15 minutes and you work for 4.5 hours, you get paid for it.
    If you work for 6 hours and your break is over half an hour, it will be an unpaid break.

    In other words. 15min Tea breaks are paid. 30min Lunch breaks aren't. A lot of people are under the impression they should get paid for their lunch hour, but that's not true at all.

    I think you would really need to clarify what exactly the situation is. I, is it a lunch break? Do they pay for the meal? How long is the break for?
