Was caught up in the diversion this evening at lusk. seen atleast 3 ambulances with garda escorts leaving the scene. looked serious enough and i hope everybody involved will be ok. was a bit surreal to see people comming from the station crossing the fields to get back onto the footpath the far side of the roundabout. i think the gaurds should have had a member up at loughshinny cross roads directing the traffic but probably all busy back in lusk.

A Garda motocycle cop and a patrol car were in pursuit of a motorcyclist. There was an accident but the details appear sketchy. The Garda biker definately crashed as his bike was in pieces on the road but I'm not sure about the chap who was being chased. I was in the garden when I heard them approaching Main Street (Rush) from the Skerries Road.

    No hearsay/speculation,

    thanks

The garda didn't really want to say too much. He said there was an accident and they had to keep the road closed.
He looked a little shaken up, so i'd hazard a guess that the post above is in some way accurate enough

RTÉ tv news said someone was killed in the road races and a spectator injured - brought to Beaumont
That was a totally seperate incident in the Skerries 100 today Carawaystick and had nothing in connection with the incident on Thursday afternoon last.
