    TORONTO -- The Chicago Blackhawks unloaded another key player from their Stanley Cup-winning roster Wednesday night, sending right-winger Kris Versteeg to Toronto in a five-player deal.

    The Maple Leafs also acquired the rights to left-winger Bill Sweatt in exchange for forwards Viktor Stalberg, Christopher DiDomenico and Philippe Paradis.


    Another salary dump by the Blackhawks. A very good trade for Brian Burke. Versteeg will be a staple in Toronto for many years to come.

    Billy Sweatt is a really interesting prospect as well. He is a very fast skater that can create. He has been playing NCAA for the past three seasons, and will be a nice addition after some seasoning in the AHL.

    very good trade, now he will try to get bobby ryan...
    can be very scary rayn-versteeg-kessel with phaneuf and scheen at d back, a nice way to kick start the leafs
