    Hi Guys

I have a grey Sky Dish for about ten years and I have a cheap Lidl dish which I bought about two years ago, can I get a twin LNB that I can fit to the Sky Dish because when it rains the Lidl system goes fuzzy and you loose the picture, also if I put a twin LNB on my Sky Dish will I get picture loss on Sky.

    Thanks in advance Storm 10

The Lidl dishes are rubbish-better off using the sky dish with a twin or quad lnb, theres lots of guys on here in the sat business that will help.http://satellite.ie/acatalog/LNB_Quad__for_Sky_Minidish.html

    Hi
Lidl dishes may not be the best quality but...I've a couple of them up and running for a few years with very good results. If the Lidl dish is the usual 80cm dish and if your connections are ok, then i suggest you check dish alignment again

Nope, you shouldnt see any siginal loss with a single, twin/quad lnb on your sky dish once its alligned correctly. You can check on your sky box with the signal quality/signal strenght is.

Do you have 2 dishes up to pick up 2 different satellites ? are you trying to combine them into one on the sky dish ?

you will probably only find Quad Sky LNB's as Sky twins havent been around for many years now. do get the correct Sky Quad as they are designed for the special oval shape of the sky dish. I personally like the WNC Brand.

Actually they are picking up the same satellite maybe I should look for a different satellite, what direction is best to look for for another satellite I have a finder.

There is no need for two dishes, just get a quad LNB for you Sky dish, remove the old LNB and reuse the existing cable from the LIDL dish (assuming it's long enough to reach the sky dish). I've a OCTO LNB with no loss of signal quality, quads LNB are now seem to be the norm on SKY installation.
