Are the paid apps open to ireland now?

I'm able too see them in the market place now.

Are they available or could it be down to the wireless network i am on? In the glenview hotel, with the airplane mode on and accessing the net via their open wifi network.

Yeah, disappointingly it seems its just a quirk of the wifi. Went to the bar for better signal and checked the market via the mobile data connection, no paid apps available. Darn it.

How do people get the paid apps here? Through third party sites like slideme.org? Is it reliable?

I could see the paid apps on my market place until I put the sim in.

I used Slideme before I rooted my phone without any problems.

Yeah I had a look at slideme. Got Jellysms. I was hoping to get the weather and toggle widget but it doesn't seem to be available outside of the main store.
