Hi folks I need to capture a 25 minute piece of film with sound. Does anyone know of any free/shareware software that could do this practically?

    Any input is much appreciated.

Best known Open Source one is probably VirtualDub. Not sure if it can work without a dedicated capture device though.

Windows media encoder is easier to use but only does 10 minute segments but perhaps you could merge the segments together again afterwards?
