How has After Hours enriched your life?

Well when I first started posting here I was a naive little girl that would take offence at the slightest provocation.
Having stalked around a few threads & gotten put back in my box more than a few times I think After Hours has increased, if not created, my sense of humour.
It has helped sharpen my wit & generally made me a better person because I can say things here that I wouldn't get away with in 'normal' company.

So has After Hours enriched your life? And if so, how?

I have a sick sense of humor in 'normal' company,if anything,I'm not as sick and twisted while on boards..which is fairly weird..

I get to put people in boxes.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I used to think that Thanks was just a polite phrase used within society to express gratitude

but now I realise it means that I find your post funny and that I agree with what you have just said.

I didn't do anything creative from the moment I left school till I first started posting here 3 years ago.
I just love the creative process here and it's given me a form of expression I didn't have before.
It has made me more articulate in the real world (and so I've discovered the seductive power of articulation). :)
And I've gained insight into lots of issues, about which I'd have only scratched the surface previously. Debating here makes you have to stop and think things through.
And you guys enrich my life daily by making me ROFL and LMAO. :p

Creative process? Not sure about that dude seems pretty formulaic to me. Have just started posting but viewed from afar. Seems in this forum there are the pack leaders and the followers. The followers try to please the leaders to get thanks and win popularity. That tends to kill creativity. A lot of the same stuff seems to be rehashed day in day out. Not sure how creative that is tbh. I think certain forums kill creativity and orginal thought. But yeah I hear what you are saying in a certain was dude. I mean no offence either btw. Peace brother

    Peace, my man.
I can't speak for anyone elses posts and I don't know about other forums, I only post here and SD/MA, but for me it's as valid a creative process as any author or poet or comedic writer (generic responses or informative posts aside), not to the same level of proficiency but I love it all the same.
And sure why not? We are writing (thereby creating) are we not?
Better to create our own culture than to continually follow other peoples.

Don't you sort of have to be alone to be a chronic masturbater?

Every night when I am putting my 2 year old to sleep I slip out the phone and read her stuff from Boards, and OH thinks I’m telling her The 3 Little Pigs.
Last night for instance I told her a story about the bad man, a plumber, who built a house that was away too big, and the good people are knocking it down.

They earn 180+ "thanks" a year. Nothing to do with money.

After Hours has really improved my standing in the world. It wasn't so long ago that my post count on boards was a single figure. Now it's above 900 and by the end of the month it'll be in four figures!

I learned a huge amout of useful information on the photography forum, I also know the in's and out's of the Black Mamba - quite a rare and unique skill set. Now, if only I could find a way to put them both to good use Hmmmmm ....
