    Hi there,

This has probably been done to death but still would like some advice.

I started a new job a few months ago . Ive noticed a guy on another team who i cant get out of my mind since day one. I have spoken to him a few times, but nothing more than the general chit chat so i dont even know if he has a girlfriend.
I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on what to do about this/ how to find out he has a girlfriend?
Bear in mind that this is an office and so any sneaky questions asked would probably start huge rumours, so i have to be discreet, and i dont want to make a fool of myself either.
    Thanks for your help!!

You can't really go asking questions like that without being sussed. Is there an active social scene at work? If so, you're going to have to wait until you're all out socially. Then you can strike up a conversation about being single.

Hi OP here. Thanks for your reply, but there are no real social outings here , and also people tend to stick with their groups so its pretty difficult .

I dont know what else to do tbh

Do you really want to get something going with someone you work with? I have a little crush on one of our new guys here in work but it would only get messy if something happened.....

I totally agree. NEVER get your honey where you get your money!! ;)

If it didn't turn out well, you'll be stuck. The job market at the moment might not facilitate you legging it in a hurry if you had to move....

Well, we are not in same team, so we dont really work together, apart from the odd time . If it didnt work out then it wouldnt be a biggie, as sometimes we can go for days without seeing each other
