Brake Pipe replacement

    Hi,
My garage has told me that my BMW 318i has corroded brake pipes. They cost about €1000 to replace - mainly due to labour costs Im told.
Another mechanic (not a garage one) has told me that he can "bend" the pipe and replace it that way - so not having to remove so many parts to replace it.

It seems logical to me but is it safe or is it something that can be done?

    Thanks
