Is it just me or are Pennys bikinis one size smaller than they should be?
As if getting into a bikini wasnt bad enough, they go and make them TINY. A normally take a 10 to 12 in clothes and tried on a 12 in Pennys thinking it would fit fine and much to my disgust it just barely fitted. The top part would fit someone a size 8 I would say and the bottoms were definately a 10.

This makes me so mad (and paranoid to be honest)

Anyone else have this problem? or should I just lay off the chips

Yep same as that!!! I find it alot with bikinis but definetly with Penneys!! Wud be a 10-12 myself but def end up going 14 in Penneys and then the top ends up too big and the bottoms generally fall a bit in the pool etc but its better than going aound with a bikini thats digging into you!! Its harsh!!

Definately true but its annoys me so much! Its like they are trying to cut costs of material or something.

Anybody else have any shops that do this? Might make us all feel better. On a plus I think Awear are almost too generous!

H&M had phenomenally small sizes the last time I bought a bikini there.

I bought 3 bikinis there before my holiday, I'm a 34D, normally a 14 boob-wise and 12 everywhere else, I bought 2 of them in size 12 and one in size 14 because it was a different style and they all fit me perfectly.

I find they are just a bit of a ropey fit in general tbh. Im a size 8-10 and a size 10 bikini there tends to be really really low cut (bottoms) and slightly loose on the ass but tight at the hips?? Maybe its just my figure but Ive never had a problem with any other brand!!

I agree - I'm small chested, an A cup, and normally take a size 8 in Pennys. I bought one of their bikinis earlier in the summer and the fabric barely covers my nipples, let alone my tiny boobs. I suppose the motto is try before you buy but somehow I just can't bear that thoughts of trying on swimwear in a changing room!

  • their sizes are just weird i am a double d and they dont go any where near me ha

Penneys sizes in general seem to have gone a bit wonky lately. I'm a size 8/10 and the other day I had to buy a size 12 in a top because the 8 and 10 were both too small, but ended up taking back a size 8 dress that I bought because it was too big!

I find it really hard to get a bikini - I'm a size 6-8 and chest 30E!! Size 8 bikinis only fit me on the bottom and anything for the top leaves side spillage because I can only go up to 10 otherwise it's too wide :( It's really frustrating. Can't get bras in there either. Sucks! Penneys do their bikinis in a set so I'm flipped. Dunnes do seperates so it's not too bad

Not all Penneys bikinis are in sets, I've often bought them separately, so I get a 12 bottom and a 14 top.

I actually find Penny's sizes big compared to other shops. Bikinis are always hard to get a perfect fit anyway.

Try Tesco, they do cheap Bikini tops in bra sizes but they're also in normal sizes (they go like 8A, 8B, 8C, 10A, etc) so they shouldn't be too wide.

If you're really stuck and don't mind forking out a bit more, La Senza are doing bikinis in bra cup sizes up to a 40G I think, and then bottoms from 8-18.

Pennys bikinis were always crap! If Im buying one in there I get one size bigger than I usually am, sometimes two times bigger!

That way it fits my boobs but the pants are usually hanging :(

Its great in there sometimes the way you can mix and match different sizes :D

I got one in a set and the top fitted perfect, but the bottom was too small. Why Penny's, why? I do have feelings...

i have to say its the same with me!! i find clothing companies like next, tesco clothing and new look do better fitting, peenies is handy for basic tops etc but there not great for good fitting pants and bikinis, i need a 16 on top and im a 12!!! because im DD cup and 14 on the bottom nightmare!!!
