Hi any one else have this problem. Have 2 keycards for my Renault megane 04. One starts the car only now and again after some playing around with it and the 2nd one now is not lockin or unlocking car. when 1s t one started given trouble rang my nearest reanult garage and they told me would cost aroun €300 to replace and would needthe car for the day to chip it to it.

Does anyone know of somewhere cheaper that can do these keycards or fix them even...

and its not the batteries i've replaced both them...

    cheers

I've the exact same problem, which reminds me I didn't lock my car last night. You can buy the key cards on eBay but I'm not sure how much it costs to chip them.

I don't think cards you buy off e-bay can be recoded to your car, at best you might be able to use them for spare parts to fix your own key or to swap some of the internals of your key into. Try ringing around a few Renault garages for prices, you can surely do better than €300 and the only reason they could possibly want the car for the day is if they are trying to fit in the coding of the key into some free time that may crop up during a day that is technically booked up.

Just got this back from KC Systems. Not a bad price especially for the 2 keys as both of mine are knackered. Better option than goin to Reanult as is €235 cheaper and i'm gettin both fixed for €400 less.

Good turn around time as well 24-48 hours.
yes , we can repair these faults
cost is 65euro each ( incl p&p ) and turnaround is normally 24-48hrs. we do a special offer if you have 2 cards from the same vehicle @ 100euros .
just post it to us incl name , address & contact no.
u will recieve a text on its arrival , progress & dispatch .
payment can be made by cheque/draft/postal order or paypal .
