Travel from Hanoi to Bangkok/Thai Islands

    Can anyone help me on what way to go about getting from Hanoi to the islands. We were looking into booking flights from HAnoi or Ho Chi min to Bangkok and getting a train or bus from there to the islands, but the flights are very expensive. Obviously we could bus it down the whole way but that involves a lot of long journeys. Is there any good websites to book book flights from ? Ive already checked Thai airways,Airasia, and vietnam airways. thanks

    Doing it overland is going to be extremely tiring and time consuming. Flying to Bangkok is really your best bet, even if it means stretching your budget.

    Here's a page with a list of airlines that do "cheap" flights to Thailand. It helped me out before.
