    Hello,

I am looking for some information. I want to join a good and positive church. I came across the websites of the destiny church dublin and the core church, they seem good and in touch with reality. Is there anyone here that does attend them? I am a catholic but i find going to mass isolating for me many times so I don't go anymore although iam believer. im very sad about that and i feel that I don't know where i am going spiritually, I find it very hard to pray for months because i feel its all or nothing and its affecting my mental health and my life. I would really appreciate for anyone to share their thoughts or information on this.

Maybe you need to be a little more engaged. Perhaps you need to find a different RCC. Failing this, my usual recommendations (in no order) are Trinity, Core and St Marks. All are quite different in atmosphere to your typical Mass service. Trinity is probably the best option, IMO. It is basically 3 churches scattered around different parts of the city and they get together once a month, I believe, at the city centre location called The Exchange. People are very friendly and welcoming. CORE is also has a friendly atmosphere and a young demographic. It has been a while since I've been to St. Marks. My advice is to shop around and test the waters.

    Hi Rose!

You don't mention what age you are, but I would highly recommend finding a community of believers of a similar age. As a Catholic of course I do not advocate church shopping; rather try and find a group of Catholics your own age where you can really engage in the faith. Also don't give up on the Mass, even if you feel a bit isolated! Read into your faith and find out why certain things are done if you're not sure - try EWTN.com, xt3.com, catholic.com, all great resources. As for groups you could look into joining, there's Youth 2000, the Legion of Mary, Jesus Youth, Pure in Heart along with countless other Catholic prayer groups, catering for all ages.
If you have any questions about any of that, let me know and I'll try and help.

    God bless :)

Piece of useless information: The Exchange began life as a church, then was used as a Labour Exchange and is now back to what it was originally intended for- that of a church.

RainbowRosie, be very discerning when you visit new churches. Years ago on my quest to find a good Christian church I got sucked in by Victory church ( I sing and play guitar and they had an excellent music group which grabbed me) but when I delved further I realised they are not very Christian at all. Don't let the 'frills' of a church sway you, listen to the message and see if it matches up with what is written in the bible.
