There are a fair few around:
    Ballymoney
    Bunclody
    Courtown
    Enniscorthy
    New Ross
    Rosslare
    Seafield
    St Helen's Bay
    Wexford

What are you looking for and where will you be? Rosslare is the only links, but it's a level track. Bunclody is the best (and newest) of the bunch, but Courtown is a close second (and much better than its neighbour, Seafield). If you're looking for a quiet country game that's not too taxing and good value - try Enniscorthy.

Bunclody, Bunclody and Bunclody. My favourite new course in Ireland in the last 10 years.

But then again I am biased, I worked for the design team.

Played both Rosslare and St. Helens in the last month.

Rosslare is a supposed "hidden gem" of a links. I personally found it a little boring and repetitive. Long par 4s are the order of the day with lots of semi blind shots. Quite pricey too. Greens were very nice and very tricky. You would want to be on your game and with someone who knows their way around here to really get the most out of it. None of the holes stick out in my mind. Wind was nil when we played which is most unusual. Would have been a lot tougher with it blowing, and I found it tough enough. Its probably not the best course for high handicaps.

St Helens is a resort course which is very well kept and looks lovely. Its a parkland, but the soil is "links like" and the fairways very fast. The greens are generous and flat compared to Rosslare. The front 9 is pretty good, (all inland) if a little gentle. The back 9 has a bit more teeth, the closing 3 holes in particular playing beside the sea and introducing some drama. The 18th is a 250 yard par 4 with a tiny landing area and a long-ish carry. No problem until the wind gets up - then its near impossible.

Of the two (and as a high handicapper) I found St Helens a more fun enjoyable track, and better value. Rosslare I will try again, as I do love links courses - I thought Arklow was a cracker, love corballis, and the rosslare burrow course. They could do with reducing the green fees a bit, but then again, they never seem to have problems filling the course.

I've only played Enniscorthy and Bunclody. Enniscorth GC is an old course with well established greens, and is good value. The new Bunclody course is fantastic, spacious, well designed (kudos to poster above!), especially the last 5 holes, a joy to play.

Edit: one I forgot (& Kevin too) is the Scarke GC near New Ross, I haven't played it yet in its new 18hole layout, I played it many many years ago as a par 3 course.

Enniscorthy is really looking well and though the new holes break the continuity of this old parkland course the overall experience is one of a challenge. They've put a lot of money into the bunkers recently which in the past were the downfall of the course. Love the atmosphere in the clubhouse, really friendly and casual. Green fees around E20 during week but they have lots of opens on weekends and early birds/twilite etc. Open classics are cheap.
Bunclody is always a pleasure to play but a little more expensive. Like the novelty of ordering the burger on the 9th. Clean and presentable clubhouse but lacks the atmosphere one would expect from a county club. New Ross is doing very well of late with a course revamp and clubhouse present good value in food. Seafield; well...I enjoyed my last round there on a beautiful summers day but it took 5 hours to get round and the guys in front rang the clubhouse to tell them to get someone out to sort it out. They other guys in my fourball were not impressed with the course "glorified pitch 'n' putt' one remarked but I think that was unfair; probable soured by the prices in the clubhouse still based on a Celtic Tiger economy if things were still rising at the same rate . Love Courtown, tough but fair. Highlight of my last visit there was a good run on the tricky 9th when I almost eagled and ended up satisfied with a par with a shot :D.
Ron Breen has worked wonders with Ballymoney and now that he has gone GUI/ILGU route gives it status. Good greens and handy for a quick inexpensive round. Disappointed that the clubhouse was closed for food one Sunday after a round. Skarke is a new kid on the block; not rushing to play it but will report back when I do.

I'm a member in enniscorthy golf club and the course is in good nick at the moment. New ross is looking great at the moment with all the work done. They won a design award for the new work. Courtown is always a good bet. Not a big fan of wexford itself even though good course. Bunclody is a must. Good rates for the standard of the course. Scarke is ok. use a range down there a lot and play from time to time with a few mates who play casual golf.
