Reseeding grass

    hi there, if I reseed silage ground in say aug/sept, allowing for an aveage year of weather until the following June, would it be good enough to cut a good crop of silage on it by then.

    would be, but to be safe, you should use light tractors/trailers if possible.

    if weather is ok you will get a light graze out of it by end ovtober and get in with fert early in the year and you will have a great crop. all depends on the weather the last few autums have been disaster for reseeding to wet/cold.

    You should have it re seeded by end aug end sept too late
    you could cut in may but would be much better to graze for first year to get it too tiller
