Hi I don;t know if I am in the correct section, but I am just wondering if anyone has any idea how much it would cost to have a back boiler fitted including parts.I am putting in an open fire and would also like to put in a back boiler as this would heat water, rads etc whilst lighting.Any advice much appreciated!

You should have a look at a solid fuel stove. Most of the heat from a traditional fire goes straight up the chimney.

Agreed, very very inefficient. A stove is the way to go.

Thats a very steep price. The unit shouldnt cost any more tha 200 euros & any competent plumber should be able to install and connect to all pipework fror a further 400 to 500 euros at most.
