In my case, it's the stat modifiers for Accuracy and Evasion! Stumbled across a link to this post on Smogon with what is thought to be the modifiers. Apparently they work on a base numeral of 3, rather than 2. So apparently getting hit by six Sand-Attacks, or the opponent having six Double Teams up isn't as bad as it could…
